WHAT IS MILK PRECIPITINS TEST?

Milk precipitins are antibodies found occasionally in children who are sensitive to milk. This test involves adding blood to an agar gel and waiting for a specific antibody concentration to develop in a line formation. The distance of the precipitin line from the point of application of the blood is directly proportional to the concentration of antigens in the client’s bloodstream.
