WHAT IS BODY FLUID ANALYSIS (CELL COUNT) TEST?

The specific body fluid is tested for white blood count and differential, total red blood cell count, protein, lactate dehydrogenase, and other tests. The various cell counts of body fluids assist in the differentiation of exudate from transudate. Body fluid analysis may be performed on the following body fluids: ascitic, cyst, joint, pericardial, peritoneal, pleural, and synovial.
