    HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIA GENOMIC RISK ASSESSMENT
    • Innovative genomic DNA testing to investigate if you are at a higher risk of developing hypercholesterolemia due to certain hereditary traits in your genes.
    • This genomic test is recommended if you have a strong family history of hypercholesterolemia (i.e. first-degree relative, who has been diagnosed with hypercholesterolemia), or if you have other risk factors that may increase your overall risk of developing hypercholesterolemia.
    • You will be provided with a DNA assessment kit that contains all the necessary materials and instructions to have your DNA sample taken without any pain or stress.
    • You will be able to take your DNA sample in the comfort of your home (or you can get your treating GP or specialist to take it for you in the clinic). Afterwards, you can simply post the DNA sample back, in the provided prepaid envelope, to Genomic Medicine UK laboratory in London.

    KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
    • If your results show that you are genetically predisposed to developing hypercholesterolemia, your prognosis will be significantly improved by having regular health check-ups at shorter intervals, which will enable your doctor to initiate your treatment at an early stage of your disease, and before any complications of your medical condition may materialise.
    • If your test shows that you are at a higher risk of developing hypercholesterolemia, this can be enormously mitigated by adopting a healthier lifestyle and following our hypercholesterolemia prevention guidance. Please remember that genes are not a destiny book but are only a background for a multitude of different potentials.
    • It is always true that prevention is better than cure.

    NUTRIGENOMICS AT YOUR SIDE

Nutrigenomics is a cutting-edge DNA testing to find out the effects of certain foods and micronutrients on your gene expression as well as the impact of your unique genetic background on your metabolism of macronutrients and micronutrients and how these effects consequently impact your risk of developing hypercholesterolemia.

In this bonus nutrigenomic DNA genetic testing we study in detail the interaction between the following macronutrients and micronutrients and your genes to provide you with an invaluable insight into which foods, drinks, vitamins, trace minerals and the common nutritional supplements are good or bad to your overall risk of developing hypercholesterolemia according to your genetic profile:
